Located in the heart of the Adirondack Park in Lake Placid, New York, the Lake Placid Land Conservancy (LPLC) is a 501(c)(3) not for profit land trust that partners with landowners and communities in the Ausable and Saranac River basins in the Adirondack Park to conserve important open spaces, view sheds, wildlife habitat, water resources as well as recreational lands that create opportunities for people to enjoy the region’s natural beauty.

Job Description 
The outreach coordinator will assist the executive director and a team of inter-disciplinary consultants in developing LPLC’s new outreach program by coordinating activities essential to the program’s development. The outreach coordinator will be responsible for coordinating outreach events and workshops, assisting with the development and distribution of traditional marketing materials (press releases, brochures, print ads, and radio ads) conducting direct mailings to landowners, updating and managing LPLC’s donor database and assisting with the development of LPLC’s social media campaign.

The outreach coordinator will work approximately 16-24 hours a week for 6-9 months between May and December 2016. Start and end dates as well as days and hours per week are flexible. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Pay rate $18-22 hour based on skills and experience.
